The Wiremold Companynge of telecom systems to complement its Interlink cabling system, <%=company%> (West Hartford, CT) announced Monday that it has acquired Chicago-based Homaco Inc., a manufacturer of communication products that range from the telecommunications closet to the desktop. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Homaco offers a full line of equipment racks and accessories for the telecommunications closet, quick connect and pre-terminated floor frames and wall modules, cable runway, cross-connect systems, and wire-wrap terminal blocks. Wiremold is the largest U.S. producer of wire and cable management systems used in commercial, industrial, and communications markets. In combination with products gained by the Homaco acquisition, Wiremold will be able to offer a full range of copper and fiber connectivity systems from the closet/panel to the workstation.
Wiremold will continue to operate Homaco out of its present location in Chicago, utilizing its current sales and distribution network.
