Six-Port Power Over Lan Hub
The mid-span device, which connects between any standard 10/100Mbps Ethernet switch or hub and the wireless LAN or Bluetooth access point or base stations, enables a unified supply of data, voice, video and power to be delivered through a single line by sending power over the unused portion of the commonly used standard Category 5 twisted pair (LAN) cables. IT managers no longer need to hire electrical specialists to run dedicated AC power lines to each individual access point and base station.
At a compact half 19 inches wide, 1U high and packaging six Power over LAN ports into a small footprint box, two of these hubs can fit into a standard nine-inch rack mount. The product features plug-and-play convenience with an advanced auto-sensing capability that detects Power over LAN enabled devices. The Power over LAN hub includes high performance RJ-45 shielded performance connectors, intelligent wiring layout and optimized line termination in order to minimize cross-talk and signal attenuation and maintain high-quality data integrity. All Power over LAN hubs are UL listed and carry the CE mark; they also comply with FCC class B requirements for radiated and conducted emissions.
The product is the latest addition to the company's Power over LAN family. For higher density applications, the company offers the 4012 and 4024 Power over LAN hubs, featuring 12 and 24 port solutions respectively.
