Remote Equipment Cabinet

The Graybar Storefront of HubbellEquipment Cabinet is a compact, wall-mounted cabinet designed for remotely located network equipment in uncontrolled locations.

The cabinet meets requirements of UL and BellCORE enclosure standards resulting in a sturdy cabinet enclosure. It provides a secure environment for two or four 19-in. rack mount hubs plus space for 48 or 96 ports patch panel for cross connections. An optional kit provides facilities for power for active equipment. When used in conjunction with the multimedia UHD system, the cabinet will accommodate patching both copper and fiber.

Specifically designed to be installed in out of the way locations, the cabinet features a low profile, as low as 6½ in. deep, front access patching, and ergonomic location of hubs. The sloped top minimizes the risk of collecting dust and clutter, and the door is designed to reduce the risk of falling liquid from affecting equipment protected inside. These features reflect design criteria to provide easy installation while providing a high level of protection to the equipment from the environment and vandals.

The unit was designed with thermal management in mind and will dissipate heat generated by active equipment. The company also provides an optional fan kit for those instances where added airflow may be required. The cabinet is available in two sizes - two hubs and four hubs.
