PMC-Sierra Announces RAID Development Agreement With IBM

Santa Clara, CA - PMC-Sierra, Inc. recently announced a multi-year joint development agreement with IBM for RAID technology. Building on PMC-Sierra's industry-leading 6Gbit/s SAS and 8Gbit/s Fibre Channel storage protocol controller family and IBM's extensive RAID technology, this agreement is expected to accelerate the development and industry availability of innovative RAID chipset and software solutions, enabling the next generation of enterprise server and storage system designs.
