Network/Cabling Database Management System

The Graybar Storefront of Microtest, Inc.r Windows is a complete network and cabling database management system. MT Crimp software offers cable installers, service providers and network managers a way to document and manage network infrastructure.

To set up an MT Crimp database, the user documents the network components, such as PCs, hubs, patch panels, wall jacks and cables, using the system's pre-defined classes and equipment libraries. Cable certification then uploads results from the OMNIScanner, PentaScanner or CertiFiber products. Once the database is set up, the user can track location and other information about PCs, printers, hubs and other network equipment.

The system's graphical user interface allows the user to perform tasks with point-and-click simplicity. Its intuitive hierarchical database defines a network in a top-down structure: the user can navigate through a network by selecting a building, then a floor, then a wiring closet, then a hub port, and so on. The user can search, sort and print network information. The company offers several versions of MT Crimp. All versions are fully compatible with each other and include the MT Crimp viewer, which can be distributed to clients so they can view, search and print databases the user has created in MT Crimp Manager, MT Crimp 2000 or MT Crimp 5000.
