Korea Security Information Sharing and Analysis Center coming together

WJCI announces general availability of wireless Internet transceivers for Cisco broadband fixed wireless solution
New York, NY -- Predictive Systems, a leading network infrastructure consulting firm, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Infosec Corporation, a leading South Korean information security services provider, to create the Korea Security Information Sharing and Analysis Center (KS/ISAC) to facilitate the sharing of sensitive information about cyber attacks and security vulnerabilities that pose threats to Korean businesses.

As a participating bureau of the Worldwide ISAC (WW/ISAC), which was launched last year, the KS/ISAC provides a secure database, analytical tools, and information gathering and distribution facilities designed to allow authorized participants to submit either anonymous or attributed reports about information security threats, vulnerabilities, incidents, and solutions.

KS/ISAC members also have access to information, and analyses, and reports in Korean, provided by other members and obtained by other sources such as law enforcement agencies, technology providers, and security associations. Finally, members are provided with trending, metrics, and benchmarking data that allows organizations to manage risk throughout their enterprises.

Other ISAC bureaus are being planned to support the growing worldwide need for comprehensive threat analysis and early warning to businesses, for whom the Internet recognizes no international boundaries through a network of ISACs called @lertnet.

"As the number and type of information security threats continue to rise around the world, organizations are increasingly looking for information on security-related incidents and advice on how to protect themselves," said Mr. Lee Sang Eun, CEO of Infosec.

"In just a few months, the WW/ISAC has proven to be a tremendously valuable resource for dozens of companies to band together to counteract impending cyber threats. We look forward to expanding the worldwide ISAC's reach with bureau additions such as this, " said Greg Nicastro, senior VP, and general manager of Predictive Systems' Global Integrity Managed Services division.

For information about membership in the WW/ISAC, which is also available on a subscription basis, contact the Predictive Systems ISAC team at 703-375-2305. For a copy of the latest Quarterly Security Trends Report, visit www.wwisac.com.
