Source: Information Resource Engineering (IRE)
Virtual private network (VPN) technology vendor Baltimore-based Information Resource Engineering (IRE) has signed a formal licensing agreement with Telsul Systems to distribute and support IRE's SafeNet technology and provide the first managed VPN service in Brazil. The country is home to many of Latin America's largest financial, retail, and manufacturing institutions, an increasing number of which are taking advantage of Internet technologies to improve procurement and financial transactions.
The alliance will make it easier for enterprises in that region to deploy VPN systems for secure data interchange over the Internet. Telsul will offer a full range of SafeNet products including the SafeNet/Speed family of VPN gateways and IRE's VPN client, SafeNet/Soft-PK. Telsul's initial order is valued at approximately $200,000.
