InfiniCor™ 600 Fiber Product Line

Corning IncorporatediniCor fiber product line was developed to satisfy an ever-increasing need for greater bandwidth in high-speed LAN protocols such as Gigabit Ethernet. To take advantage of high-capacity laser-based systems, you need optical fiber with exceptional consistency in the center region of the core. While some manufacturing processes create profile abnormalities that may cause bandwidth collapse and link failure in laser-based systems, Corning's patented Outside Vapor Deposition process ensures a uniform and consistent profile, therefore optimizing the performance of your LAN.

InfiniCor fiber can be installed in all premises applications, including the backbone, riser, and horizontal. InfiniCor fiber provides complete compatibility with legacy LAN systems by exceeding the minimum overfilled launch bandwidth standard in the 850 nm and 1300 nm operating windows. All of the InfiniCor product line fibers exceed industry standards, including Ethernet, Token Ring, FDDI, ATM, and Fibre Channel.

InfiniCor 600 fiber is guaranteed through associated cabler warranty programs for transmission distances up to 600 meters at both 850 nm and 1300 nm meters in Gigabit Ethernet (IEEE 802.3z) compliant systems. InfiniCor 600 fiber is a nominal 50/125 µm graded-index multimode fiber design that is guaranteed* to be system-compatible with the installed base of standard 62.5/125 µm fiber. It's also system-compatible with standard 50/125 µm fiber and with the advanced InfiniCor 300 fiber for all standards-compliant links.
