One of the industry's highest density Category 5e patch panels has been introduced. Available in two versions - offering 32 or 48 ports in a unit which is just 1U high - the new High Density PowerCat Patch Panel offers a 30-50% space saving in the communications cabinet.

The new panel owes its slim lines to an innovative low-profile jack designed by the company. Even allowing space for active equipment and cable management, use of the new panel cuts total communications rack space usage by about one third.

For internet service providers, server farms or any application where space is at a premium, the savings are significant.

Part of the PowerCat range of high-performance connectivity products, the new High Density Patch Panel is designed to meet and exceed Category 5e standards. Its high specification makes it ideal for use in high speed data networks with key performance parameters at 100MHz being: attenuation 0.03dB, PowerSum NEXT -42.8dB, return loss -22.0dB.

An integral cable management tray at the rear of the panel allows for easier installation. The protected label facility on the front of the panel, allows for clear identification of each port.
