GNi Secures Data Center With High-Performance Juniper Networks Firewalls
Sunnyvale, CA - Juniper Networks, Inc., the leader in high-performance networking, recently announced Global Netoptex, Inc. (GNi), a leading provider of customer-centric managed services, has deployed Juniper Networks NetScreen-5400 firewall/VPN security systems. GNi selected the NetScreen-5400 for its industry-leading scale and its high performance and availability, and the new security systems will help ensure GNi's network infrastructure, hosted applications and managed business services remain secure from attacks. By providing best-in-class protection, the Juniper security systems will enable GNi to accelerate the deployment of services and applications over a single network.

The NetScreen-5400s will be deployed at GNi's largest data centers in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Oakland, Frankfurt, Tokyo and Singapore, which host content and applications for many leading web portals, online gaming companies and large enterprises. The NetScreen-5400 features innovative virtualization capabilities that will allow GNi to secure multiple customers or departments with a single system.
The Juniper Networks NetScreen-5400 is a purpose-built, high-performance firewall/VPN security system designed to deliver high-performance capabilities for large enterprise, carrier, and data center networks. The NetScreen-5000 series offers excellent scalability and flexibility, while providing a higher level security system through Juniper Networks NetScreen ScreenOS custom operating system. With the ability to support up to 500 virtual systems, more than 1,000 security zones and 4,000 VLANs, the NetScreen-5400 is ideally suited to address the high demands of large capacity data centers such as GNi.
