Fibre Channel Storage Systems

A generation of Fibre Channel RAID (redundant array of independent disks) storage systems (the Archion Fibre Channel Raid System and the Archion Fibre Channel Array) offer a family of high performance storage products on a Fibre Channel bus at full fibre data rates.

The products are designed to work with NT, Win98, Mac and SGI platforms and are available in both tower configurations, or rack mounted for Enterprise installations. The Raid system can be scaled up to 2 TB in rack mount configuration and up to 500 GB in the 10 bay tower configuration. The array can be scaled up to 2 TB in rack mount configuration and up to 216 GB in the 12 bay tower configuration. The enclosure can convert from a stand alone tower to rack mount easily.

With these RAID products there is no data loss if a drive fails. The RAID controller allows for a hot spare to maintain data while the controller restores the failed drive.
