An addition to the AdvanceLite family of fiber optic cables is the AdvanceLite 2000. These cables incorporate Corning InfiniCorTM CL 2000 fiber. Along with the entire product line, these cables provide guaranteed performance for Gigabit Ethernet transmission while maintaining backward compatibility with existing networks. The newest version guarantees a transmission distance of 2 km for 1000Base-LX compliant networks with no mode-conditioning patch cord.

As defined in TIA/EIA-568A, FDDI grade fiber lengths in excess of 220 meters may not work with Gigabit Ethernet. To address this issue, additional steps must be taken to insure that a multimode fiber will not only work well with laser sources, but that these new fiber types are also compatible with existing networks.

Available in counts up to 216 fibers, in plenum, riser, and outside plant constructions. Other features include optimized performance for high speed networking protocols, backwards compatibility, and 2 km backbone lengths.
