Dynamic Barrier Low Constant Volume Fume Hood

Kewaunee Scientific Corporation introduces an addition to their Supreme Air Series Fume Hoods; the revolutionary Dynamic Barrier fume hood. This unit is a low constant volume (LCV) type fume hood that requires no VAV controls, no motorized baffles, no costly auxiliary air system, and no integral fans.

This unit can save 70% of the costly exhaust volume typically required to operate a conventional bypass fume hood. Energy savings can approach $4,000 per year per 8-foot bench hood depending on local climate and other laboratory air requirements!

In addition to the obvious savings such a low constant volume exhaust strategy produces, the Dynamic Barrier fume hood includes a series of exciting features as standard :

• A user-friendly dual combination sash that allows access to the entire fume hood interior through a smaller, energy-saving opening. This twin sash allows a GIGANTIC 37" opening for insertion of large equipment or assembly of complex set-ups. During sash-closed operation, the sash system provides a complete view of the hood interior.
  
• The dynamic barrier fume hood exhibits extremely quiet performance characteristics. The dynamic barrier can easily operate at 45 dBA with appropriately sized ductwork and fans. Imagine a lab where the fume hoods are no longer the noisiest room element!
  
• A flush-sill airfoil accommodates large equipment insertion and ADA applications.
  
• Cord pass-throughs exit the hood just under the electrical outlets.
