DSL gateway bridge/router
Based on Virata Corp.'s (Santa Clara, CA) Helium chipset, the product provides data transfer and Internet download rates of up to 8 Mbps. It complies with International Telecommunications Union (ITU) G.992.1 (G.dmt), G.992.2 (G.lite), ANS T1.413 issue 2, and IEEE 802.3 LAN for 10 Mbps.
The product integrates both USB and Ethernet ports into a single ADSL bridge/router platform. Users can connect two computers directly to the ADSL bridge/router without the need for a hub. One computer can be connected to the USB port while the other is connected to the Ethernet port.
The product supports G.dmt and G.lite specifications with the WAN support through IP, PPP, RFC 1483, and RFC 2364. Dual Ethernet and USB interfaces enable users to connect multiple PCs to the 8110 through different interfaces at the same time. Complete bridging support, including RFC 1483 IPoA and Ethernet over ATM, RFC 1577 CIP over ATM, allows the networking capability for home, SOHO, and small business users. It also provides Network sharing function through Network Address Translation (NAT), DHCP Server, and DHCP relay agent support.
