DNE Technologies, Inc./2 features quality low bit rate voice with full-POTS functionality, the ability to support emerging data applications, and flexible management options, all concentrated into a minimal size and weight. With eight integrated data ports included, retails for only $2,950 and can be configured with a variety of options, including T-1/E-1, digital voice, FXS, FXO, and 4-wire E&M analog voice connections, allowing easy interface with existing networks.

Features of the basic SatPlex/2 include four high-speed synchronous and four asynchronous data ports, as well as an aggregate port. A single board design maximizes reliability while minimizing the size and weight, resulting in a 2-U high, rack-mountable package which is less than 15 pounds. Five option slots provide the flexibility to support a variety of configurations, including low bit-rate voice, FXS/FXO, 4-wire E&M, and T1/E1 interfaces. A display and keypad option allow the user easy configuration access.

DNE Technologies, Inc./2 supports simplex and asymmetric operation over the aggregate and synchronous channels. The simplex mode can be utilized to support simple datacast applications where data is streamed from a single multiplexer at a hub site to multiplexers at multiple remote sites. The asymmetric option optimizes the transport of Internet traffic for those users who prefer the down link to be provisioned with significantly higher bandwidth than the up link.
