Compuware Increases Support for Lucent's Enterprise Data Networking Portfolio

N/Ar getting its hands on the goods, <%=company%> (Farmington Hills, MI) is leveraging its newly acquired Comnet products group to good advantage with one of the biggest network equipment makers. Compuware and Lucent Technologies (Murray Hill, NJ) this week announced the integration of several additional Lucent local-area network (LAN) and wide-area network (WAN) enterprise data networking products with the device libraries of Compuware's line of application service level management products.

Lucent's Cajun P330 stackable switch has been added to the Comnet III and Application Predictor device libraries. The combination of Comnet III and Application Predictor network performance tools with Lucent's Cajun P330 Switching System, Pipeline and SuperPipe access routers, and Access Point Internet access routers will enable network managers to accurately predict the performance of their enterprise networks in real-world situations. For example, administrators can now analyze and determine the impact of planned network changes—including rolling out new applications and allocating bandwidth—with Lucent's data networking products before they actually implement these changes.

Next month, both companies plan to deliver support for Lucent's Pipeline 220 remote access router, SuperPipe 155 multiservice access router and Access Point 450 Internet access router products to these same device libraries. Comnet III, Application Predictor, and other application capacity planning products were formerly offered by CACI Products Co.
