The two components of the CipherONE network encryption system are the Cipher X 7100 frame relay hardware encryptor and the KEYNET secure management application. The Cipher X 7100 frame relay encryption system has been fully engineered to provide the high level protection required by demanding mission-critical applications, while maintaining optimum network performance.For maximum security, the Cipher X 7100 is a hardware-based, self-contained unit. It is the first product on the market to provide Triple-DES frame relay security up to full T1/E1 speeds. Cipher X 7100 is network transparent - no network modification is required, little overhead is incurred, and no user training is needed. Since it secures data at the frame relay layer it also protects SNA, BSC, IP or other protocols encapsulated in frame relay. A single Cipher X system can control access for up to 1,024 virtual circuits making a very cost-effective solution.

Easy Management and configuration of Cipher X hardware devices can be done remotely using TCC's KEYNET secure management application. KEYNET enables key management, configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting of a large global network of Cipher X encryption units from a single location. All communication to the Cipher X units are encrypted using a secure SNMP protocol.This secure communications link allows the user to securely download new software to the Cipher X units and enhance their performance. Performance configuring can only be performed by the user from a TCC supplied KEYNET system for remote management or Cipher Site Manager (CSM) system for local, on-site configurations.

There are three configurable Frame Relay speed options obtainable through secure software downloads that make up the CipherONE network encryption system for the Cipher X 7100 frame relay encryptor.
