Black Box Corp. to Wire Long Island Schools

N/Aured cabling contract worth more than $500,000, Pittsburgh-based <%=company%>'s New York-based operation, Black Box Network Services Tri-State, has won a contract to wire Internet access in Long Island's largest public school district in Lawrence, NY. The work will consist of installing a structured cabling system in the entire school comprised of six separate buildings encompassing grades kindergarten through 12.

This new structured cabling system will provide high-speed Internet access for computers in classrooms, computer labs, and administrative offices using both copper and fiber. The Lawrence School District's new cabling system is a continuation of work that Black Box performed last summer to improve the district's network and technical capabilities. This new job will provide the cabling backbone to support the school's high-speed networking well into the future.
