Aplion Networks, based in Edison, New Jersey, designs, manufactures and markets the only single technology-independent service creation and management solution for service providers. Aplion Networks solutions create, manage and unify all communications and business services through integrated hardware and software solutions based on Active Services. Active Services enable service providers to double revenues from small and medium sized businesses by introducing new and personalized value-added services at the network edge.

The company maintains locations in both the US and India. There are currently 100 employees, of which 60% are engineers located in New Delhi, India. The company holds eight patents with more applications pending for applications ranging in specialization from cell/packet unified switched networks to switch, router, server, computer architectures and packet data traffic management.

Founded in 1998, Aplion Networks has raised $11 million in venture capital to date. Major shareholders include Ray Stata, chairman of Analog Devices; Odyssey Partners of Boston Investment Group, NY, and the founders.
