American Internet Services (AIS) Partners With Security On-Demand To Add Managed Security Services To Its Enterprise Managed Services (EMS) Portfolio
San Diego, CA - American Internet Services (AIS), a leading provider of enterprise-class data center and connectivity services in the western United States, recently announced the addition of e-ManagedSecurity to its portfolio of enterprise managed services. Based on security and compliance solutions powered by Security On-Demand, a leading provider of hybrid cloud security and compliance solutions, this Managed Security Service (MSS) product line enables companies to easily and cost-effectively implement a comprehensive security strategy that protects the organization across all potential attack vectors.
e-ManagedSecurity consists of premises and cloud security services that can be tailored to meet a company's growth and compliance requirements. A key feature is its "single pane of glass"-based client portal that provides instant visibility to real-time security alerts, events, and compliance status.
Security On-Demand is recognized as an innovator within the managed security industry and was the first to develop several innovative and groundbreaking managed services, such as the industry's first fully managed Web Application Firewall (WAF). The company was founded by Peter Bybee, a noted industry visionary, conference speaker, and security expert.
"While risk management is important, compliance is weighing heavily on the minds of many of our current and prospective clients," said Tim Caulfield, chief executive officer at AIS. "Peter and his team at Security On-Demand are very familiar with compliance requirements and have put together a comprehensive security solution that fits well into our portfolio of enterprise managed services."
"AIS has a stellar reputation in the San Diego region and beyond for its enterprise-class data center and connectivity services that place an emphasis on security, network high-availability and network redundancy," said Peter Bybee, president and CEO of Security On-Demand. "Being just down the road from us, it seemed natural that we should combine our efforts to deliver a truly comprehensive cloud-based security platform that includes a scalable and flexible security architecture without the headaches of capital expenditures and staffing costs."
AIS e-ManagedSecurity includes:
for colocation, enterprise and branch office includes 24x7 monitoring, patching, technical support, firewall rule creation, full troubleshooting, logging, and reporting. This service can be provided with hardware, or can used to manage existing client firewalls.
In addition, there are compliance-related managed services:
- Web Application Firewall (WAF) management includes tuning, management monitoring, 24x7 support, patching and upgrade recommendations, reporting, and policy enforcement. It also fulfills compliance requirements for Payment Card Industry (PCI), version 2.0
- File Integrity Management (FIM) acts as a secondary layer of protection beyond anti-virus messaging and alerting monitoring system. It ensures that key systems files are not replaced or tampered with without notification. This service is used to help enforce security policies and compliance standards.
- Firewall Policy and Compliance Analysis (PCA) provides security policy configuration analysis. It is comprehensive, scalable, non-intrusive, easy-to-deploy and use, and supports the major firewall platforms in the enterprise market.
The Single Pane of Glass:
The Client Portal and Security Dashboard, delivered as a "Single Pane of Glass" provides visibility to all security event data, alerts, logs, scans, and threat intelligence. There are over 100 pre-built dashboards including compliance specific reports. Plus clients have the ability to fully customize their dashboard to best meet the demands of new regulations and needs specific to their business. In addition, from the single pane of glass, clients have access to tools for real-time analysis and one-click alert drill downs.
HIPPA Compliance Confidently Demonstrated:
The Security as a Service (SaaS) solution powered by Security On-Demand has a proven track record in the Life Sciences industry. For example, Anvita Health, a clinical analytics company based in San Diego, had to demonstrate HIPAA compliance as part of its on-boarding process for new customers. A unique hybrid solution that streamlined deployment of security and compliance services was designed and implemented by Security On-Demand. Anvita decided on a co-managed solution that utilizes the Client Security Portal to provide visibility to all security event data, alerts, logs, scan vulnerabilities, external threat intelligence that contribute to an understanding of overall risk posture of the organization. The solution also had the capability of delivering custom compliance reports as well as the Security Dashboard to monitor overall network security.
