ADSL USB Modem
Customers can use this expandable system to take advantage of the bandwidths of broadband technologies such as ADSL. With over 100 times the download speed of a 56Kbps modem, ADSL provides home office, small business and commuter markets with high-speed information access solutions. The module supports a USB connection to the computer instead of Ethernet. This enables Service Providers to migrate away from having to provide labor-intensive "truck rolls" every time a new subscriber is installed.
The modem supports Annex A, B, and C, which allows it to be used in North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Japan. Expansion capabilities allow users to easily add modules such as the Home Phone Networking Alliance (HPNA), and wireless LAN 802.11 to quickly expand the system into a gateway. This gateway allows users to access high-speed Internet access from virtually any connection in their home or office. Other modules can be used to expand the system and create home networks with multiple PC shared resources such as printers, scanners and other peripherals.
