The 73 GB drives are available in new Magnitude systems (as an option) and to current customers as upgrades.
By adding 73GB disc drives to their systems, current owners of the Magnitude are able to automatically increase their total storage capacity. Because of the Magnitude's virtualized architecture, increases in storage capacity also increase transaction optimization, which translates into increases in network performance. This is due to the Magnitude's ability to stripe data across all drives in the system and share the combined pool of storage capacity and performance with up to 192 attached heterogeneous servers.
