3Com, SonicWALL to Provide Internet Security for Medium-Size Enterprise

(Sunnyvale, CA), a provider of Internet security products, have expanded an existing strategic alliance to incorporate Internet security capabilities into 3Com's SuperStack switching platform.

The new firewall-enhanced, SuperStack e-Network appliance integrates into any SuperStack switch installation to guard against the vulnerabilities associated with doing business on the Internet. The new e-Network appliance, based on SonicWALL's technology, offers firewall functionality, denial of service (DoS) attack prevention, IPSec-based virtual private networking, and content filtering in an integrated platform.

SonicWALL designs, develops, and manufactures Internet security products for broadband access customers in the small- to medium-size enterprise, branch office, telecommuter, and education markets.
