The MaxAttach NAS 4000 now holds up to 320 GB of data in an industry-standard 1U (1.75 inch-high) box. Available immediately, the new product offers IT administrators file serving and data storage relief that installs in less than 10 minutes with no network downtime. The new network attached storage (NAS) servers are designed for outstanding ease of setup and management, and provide nearly one terabyte (1,000 GB) in five and a quarter inches of rack height.

The MaxAttach NAS family is compatible with Windows and Linux/UNIX clients, and can be monitored remotely through simple network management protocol (SNMP). All systems provide network status reporting, automatic e-mail alerts, RAID 1 mirroring for data protection, and an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) that allows for sharable storage on the network with three simple steps to install and configure. Features such as dual power supplies and multiple fans ensure high system availability.
