10/100 LAN Offerings
Low-density, manageable and stackable 10/100 autosensing products are part of the Cisco Networked Office stack, a networking solution for small and growing businesses and branch offices of larger companies. The 1548M Micro Switch 10/100 and the 1538 Series Micro Hub 10/100 offer a Web-based management interface common to the Catalyst 2900 XL Series and the Catalyst 1900 switching products. The Web-based management tool allows network managers to manage the switch or hub from anywhere on the Internet using a standard Web browser.
The Micro Hub, available in managed (1538M) and manageable (1538) configurations, provides 10/100 autosensing Fast Ethernet desktop connectivity. The eight-port 10BaseT/100Base TX autosensing hub provides 100 Mbps peak aggregate throughput. With 10/100 autosensing capability on all ports and an internal bridge for easy connectivity between 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps, the Micro Hub enables users to seamlessly migrate from legacy 10BaseT to 100BaseTX networks. In addition, integrated stacking ports allow customers to use each product as a standalone hub or to scale the workgroup size up to 32 ports by creating a Micro Hub 10/100 stack.
The Micro Switch is a high-performance autosensing Fast Ethernet switch for creating high-performance LANs. For growing companies whose bandwidth requirements have outgrown their legacy 10BaseT networks, the eight-port 1548M (managed) and Cisco 1548U (unmanaged) switches offer dedicated 10/100 autosensing Fast Ethernet connections. The Cisco Micro Switch supports four port-based VLANs.
