Wang Global Wins $100 Million Outsourcing Contract

In one of the largest desktop outsourcing deals in Europe, Wang Global (Billerica, MA) will provide managed network services worth more than $100 million to London-based Abbey National. Under the terms of the agreement, Wang Global will manage Abbey National's 25,000 desktops, throughout its headquarters and branches, providing hardware, software, help desk, and first line support from Wang Global's NetWorkPlace managed services.

Abbey National is the UK's 5th largest bank. The bank has worked with Wang Global since the early 1980s. Wang Global designs, installs, operates, and maintains computing and telecommunications networks for large multinational companies. Services include systems architecture design, installation, warranty, help desk, maintenance, software support, and management of enterprise networks to the desktop.
