Case Study: University Of Oslo

Education is changing. The old model of lectures, seminars and handwritten coursework is being left behind. Today, students at the University of Oslo are leading a revolution that has accelerated learning and made those dog-eared lecture notes a thing of the past — with the help of Nexsan Technologies and Hitachi Deskstar hard drives.

The University of Oslo is Norway's largest and oldest institution of higher education. Founded in 1811, it was home to some of the twentieth century's greatest academic minds, including four Nobel Prize winners.

But no organisation can survive on reputation alone. Back in 2000, the university devised a long-term plan of action to keep it at the forefront of modern learning. Not only that – it recognised that the university had a duty to lead the whole of Norway into the new media age.
